The Block R Committee

Off-Campus Students Association

•    OCSA is a volunteer student organization whose primary interest is to advocate and fulfill the needs and interests of commuters and off-campus students by planning exciting events to promote student integration into the Rutgers community. Voicing commuter concerns with our student government to assist in the implementation of policies that affect the off-campus population and the community at large. Collaborating with other student organizations and committees throughout the Rutgers community

"Meet our Initiatives team! Murtuza and Brian are part of OCSA’s newest division, and they advocate for the needs of commuter and off-campus students in the long term. They meet with some important people of Rutgers – including several of the Rutgers Governing Councils, campus deans, and department directors – to brainstorm ways to improve the commuter and off-campus experience. If you want to make a lasting impact on Rutgers while working with your fellow students and administration, Initiatives might be the place for you!"

Association of Big Ten Students Conference (ABTS)

The Association of Big Ten Students is a coalition of student governments from each of the 14 Big Ten universities.

We're a hub for support, idea-sharing, and nationwide advocacy in support of student interests.

Though we're working together throughout the year, we see the most collaboration at our 3 major annual events
